
A new boil water order has been issued for residents in Stone County.According to the Arkansas Department of Health, a boil order was issued Thursday for the Mountain View Waterworks system due to a main break. The advisory affects customers who live along North Ridgeview Drive and South Ridgeview Drive.
The boil order for Mockingbird Hill Water Association issued January 6 and January 11 are still in effect. The order issued January 11 was due to multiple meters failing throughout the system and affects residents from Old Highway 7 to the Fairgrounds to Hillside Drive to Will Jones Road. The boil order issued on January 6 for the area around Will Jones Road is due to several water meters and exposed lines freezing.
The boil order issued for Mountain View Waterworks for the Cedar Hill subdivision, Meadow Hills subdivision, Happy Hollow Road and Tubbs subdivision has been lifted as of Friday. The order was issued January 17 for a main break.
The boil water order for Fish and Fiddle Resort in Baxter County was lifted January 17. The order was issued October 26 due to inadequate disinfectant levels for the entire system.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
