MH among schools to close campuses Wednesday

The Mountain Home School District has announced its closure on Wednesday due to the recent winter weather. Mountain Home will join Gainesville, Lutie, Izard County, Dora, Thornfield, Mountain View, West Plains, Hollister, Forsyth, Branson and Ava school districts and Mountain Home Christian Academy in calling off classes.

Several other school districts will have their campuses closed, but Wednesday will serve as an AMI day. Those districts include Cotter, Norfork, Flippin, Yellville-Summit, Viola, Calico Rock, Bakersfield, Ozark Mountain, Salem, Mammoth Spring, Melbourne, Searcy County, Lead Hill, Bergman, Valley Springs, Harrison, Omaha and Jasper.

Arkansas State University-Mountain Home will have its campus and offices closed Wednesday, but students can check Blackboard and email for classroom instructions. All of Ozarka College’s campuses will be closed, and North Arkansas College in Harrison and Missouri State University-West Plains have canceled their Wednesday classes.
