A Clarkridge man pled guilty to charges of rape and endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The court sealed much of the information in the case of 47-year-old Mark William Hodges, including the probable cause affidavit containing details of the investigation that led up to the charges.

Thirty-nine-year-old Tomalee Dawn Pierce-Hodges is charged with endangering the welfare of a minor in the case.

Her jury trial is set for later this month.

Mark Hodges will also be required to register as a sex offender.

Hodges had been an inmate in the Baxter County Detention Center since being booked into the facility in late April last year.

During a recent session of circuit court, Mark Hodges asked the court to lower his bond, but the request met strong opposition from the state and was denied.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the Mountain Home Police Department and the Crimes Against Children Division of the Arkansas State Police investigated the case.
