One boil water order has been lifted while another remains in effect.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the boil order for the Mountain View Waterworks System has been lifted. The order was issued Monday due to a water line break and affected the area of Harding Boulevard to Tubbs Court; all of Shadow Lane; Dora Drive; Leonard Drive and Museum Lane.

A boil order for the East Newton County Water Association remains in effect.

The order was issued Jan. 30 due to a main break. The order issued affects the area of Norton’s Country Store going north on Highway 123 and ending at the Buffalo River.

All customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use.

All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
