Operation Task Force Arkansas nets more than 55M in drugs; over 1,000 arrests

Drug Task Force officers across Arkansas have worked together since November to eradicate illicit and deadly drugs from communities across the state culminating with “Operation Task Force Arkansas” on January 23. The efforts led to over 1,200 arrests, confiscation of hundreds of firearms, and obtaining more than $55 million in fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, opioid pills and other drugs.

All 18 operational Drug Task Force units in Arkansas, including those in Baxter, Marion, Boone and Newton counties, ended the three month focus with a three day intense sweep serving 300 warrants in total.

In those three days, officers confiscated 122 grams of fentanyl, 6,572 grams of methamphetamine, 500 prescription pills, 500 counterfeit pills (mostly fentanyl), 79 firearms and conducted 256 arrests. Since the first day of 2023, officials have made a total of 522 arrests, confiscated more than 1.5 million grams of drugs (including 609 grams of fentanyl and nearly 60,000 grams of methamphetamine) and nearly 23,000 pills, all with an estimated value of $21,852,048.
