
A Yellville woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident Friday evening in Baxter County when her vehicle collided with another and later caught fire. Twenty-seven-year-old Tapanga Maxwell was pronounced dead, and two other males, 39-year-old Jason Boisclair of Gassville and 45-year-old Branden Phillips of Lincoln, were both injured.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Boisclair was traveling on U.S. Highway 62/412, west of Tucker Cemetery Road, when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head on. The second vehicle, driven by Maxwell and occupied by Phillips, ran off the road, rolled over and caught fire.
One of the injured males was taken to Baxter Health following the 7:13 p.m. accident, and the other was sent to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
