A Mansfield man suffered serious injuries in an accident Sunday morning eight miles northeast of Ava.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver 19-year-old Hunter Weldon, was traveling northbound on Missouri Highway U when his truck ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. The crash report states Weldon was not wearing a safety device at the time of the inciden.
The Ava Rural Fire Department stated in a Facebook post after a long extrication Weldon was flown by Air Care to Springfield for treatment.
