MH boys’ soccer team ends up in tie, girls fall to Van Buren

The Mountain Home High School soccer teams were back at Bomber Stadium on Thursday for a conference outing with Van Buren.

The Bomber boys ended up in a 1-1 tie with the Pointers. Mountain Home’s lone goal was scored by Jack Sheaner off an assist from Aiden Sanders, and Odei Alcalde recorded nine saves. The Bombers are now 8-0-2 on the season.

Mountain Home did not fare as well in the girls’ match as they fell to Van Buren by a final of 2-0. The Lady Bombers drop to 4-4 on the year and 0-3 in the 5A-West.

Mountain Home’s next matches will be March 28 when they host Russellville.
