Medicaid members need to renew by Mar 31 deadline to keep coverage

With the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency ending, many Arkansans with Medicaid will lose health coverage if they do not re-establish their coverage with the Arkansas Department of Health (DHS) beginning April 1. More than 400,000 Medicaid members in the state are subject to the re-determination process and will need to provide proof of their eligibility.

Kattie Laney, Patient Financial Services Director for Baxter Health spoke with KTLO’s Heather Loftis to discuss how local Arkansans will be able to keep their coverages.

Members who need to check their enrollment can do so by calling DHS at 844-872-2660, go online to ar.gov/update, or visiting their local DHS county office.
