
The Mountain Home High School baseball team had a tough road trip on Thursday. The Bombers suffered a 4-3 defeat at Batesville.
In other baseball action, Melbourne routed Bald Knob 22-1, Mountain View fell to Tuckerman 6-4, and Jasper lost to Ozark Catholic 16-1.
Mountain Home’s softball team had a rough night in front of the home crowd as they fell to Melbourne 4-2. Olivia Crabb led the Lady Bombers by going 3-for-4 at the plate.
Mountain Home also lost the junior varsity contest to Melbourne 4-3. Amelia Mason went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run.
In other softball results, Norfork lost to Calico Rock 16-0, Viola topped Shirley 2-1, Mammoth Spring pounded Hillcrest 14-4, Mountain View fell to Tuckerman 21-0, and Harrison shut out Springfield Catholic 14-0.
