MHFD organizes fire safety program for area students

The Mountain Home Fire Department has partnered with the National Fire Safety Council to provide fire prevention materials for the community through their annual Fire Prevention Program for child. The materials are effective in providing important information and valuable resources for the community.

Activity manuals, brochures, booklets, and other valuable teaching aids will be distributed through presentations, activities, and programs throughout the community. Topics addressed include How to Report a Fire: 9-1-1; Home Fire Safety; Crawl Low Below the Smoke; Smoke Alarms; Carbon Monoxide Detectors; Fire Extinguisher Awareness; Burn Prevention and other community concerns.

Mountain Home Fire Marshal Shawn Lofton spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot news about the program and how area businesses can get involved.
