A Baxter County man is accused of blocking another male from leaving his property and running his truck off the road. Fifty-one-year-old Brian Radcliff of rural Mountain Home was arrested Thursday on felony counts of aggravated assault and first-degree criminal mischief and a misdemeanor count of harassment.
According to the probable cause affidavit, three deputies were dispatched on a report of a male trespassing. One deputy made contact with the suspect vehicle at the corner of Arkansas Highway 201 South and Cody Creek Drive. The vehicle was occupied by two males, and one was identified as Radcliff.
Two deputies also made contact with the complainant’s pickup truck across Highway 201. The complainant stated he purchased a trailer from Radcliff, but he was withholding the money because he had not received the title. The victim alleges Radcliff came to his residence Thursday morning, parked in front of the driveway and shouted from the road.
The complainant stated he and a female were attempting to leave the residence, but they were blocked by Radcliff’s truck. As they attempted to go around, Radcliff’s truck reportedly inched closer and rammed the complainant’s truck, pushing it and a trailer off the road. The female corroborated the complainant’s accusation, and a groundskeeper at the residence also stated he observed Radcliff run the truck and trailer off the road.
A deputy also spoke with the occupant in Radcliff’s truck. He stated the complainant’s truck struck Radcliff’s vehicle in an attempt to go around. The occupant reportedly admitted Radcliff chased the complainant to the intersection.
Radcliff was released from the Baxter County Detention Center on Saturday after posting a bond of $15,000.
