The Marion County Collectors Office will begin to mail out 2022 tax statements this week.
According to Marion County Collector Carla Purdome, statements are going out later this year due to a new software program conversion, which will be more secure for residents.
Purdome says statements will have a new look and residents should review their statements carefully. Residents should make sure the Collectors Office has a 2023 copy of DAV letters and to check to make sure homestead credits are in place with the Assessor’s Office.
If residents have already paid their taxes, they may disregard the statement.
