MH boys finish 2nd in Green Forest 7th Grade Ribbon Track Meet

The Green Forest Seventh Grade Ribbon Track Meet was held on Monday, and Mountain Home’s boys were among the teams competing.

The Seventh Grade Bombers finished second with Harrison getting the win. Also on the boys’ side, Cotter was fifth, Valley Springs ended up sixth, and Bergman took eighth place.

Individually for Mountain Home, Zach Dooley won the pole vault and finished third in the 300-meter hurdles and fourth in the 110-meter hurdles, Kalen Warford was second in the pole vault, Brody Snyder ended up second in the 300-meter hurdles, Eli Reiss took third place in the 110-meter hurdles, and Draven Cowart and Shep Martin finished third and fifth respectively in the discus. The team of Hunter Ford, Martin, Ryan Cooper and Logan Lefevers won the 4×400-meter relay; Lefevers, Warford, Reiss and Aisaac Stewart were second in the 4×200-meter relay; Lefevers, Warford, Reiss and Stewart ended up third in the 4×100-meter relay; and Ford, Martin, Cooper and Hayden Drake took third place in the 4×800-meter relay.

Among other area athletes, Emmett Moore of Valley Springs won the shot put, Harrison’s Jaxson Boswell won the high jump and the 300-meter hurdles and finished second in the 110-meter hurdles and third in the long jump, Harrison’s Joey Massey won the discus, Gavin Dickson of Harrison won the 1600-meter run and was second in the 800-meter run, Cotter’s Zain Studnar ended up second in the 400-meter dash, Tyler Hicks of Harrison took second place in the long jump and the 200-meter dash and third place in the 100-meter dash, and Cody Garay of Cotter finished third in the 1600-meter run. Killian Ireland, Lane Nelson, Quincy Johnson and Braxton Morgan of Valley Springs won the 4×200-meter relay and were second in the 4×800-meter relay; and Cotter’s Logan Guthrie, Travis Hicks, Leo Mendleski and Studnar ended up second in the 4×100-meter relay.

Harrison also won the girls’ side of the meet, Bergman took fourth place, Cotter finished sixth, and Valley Springs was seventh.

Individually, Harrison’s Holly Keeter won the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash and the triple jump and ended up second in the 400-meter dash and the high jump; Kyna See of Bergman won the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs and took third place in the long jump; Harrison’s Bailey Mann won the discus; Reagan Cowart of Cotter finished second in the 200-meter dash; Bergman’s Abree Patton was second in the long jump; Anna Grace of Harrison ended up second in the 100-meter hurdles; Bergman’s Kenzye Lowry took second place in the 100-meter dash and the triple jump and third place in the high jump; Kodi Harris of Harrison finished second in the 800-meter run and third in the 1600-meter run; Harrison’s Joslynn Saylor was third in the 400-meter dash; Braxton Hill of Harrison ended up third in the shot put; and Sadie Choate took third place in the discus. In the 4×200-meter relay, Cotter’s team of Riley Brotherton, Cowart, Marlee Dutcher and Myah McNutt got the win; and Karlee Ballard, Grace, Finley Smith and Zoee Hudson finished third. See, Patton, Mari Wright and Lowry of Bergman won the 4×100-meter relay; and Brotherton, Cowart, Dutcher and McNutt were third. Mattie Rodden, Harris, Keeter and Saylor of Harrison won the 4×400-meter relay; and Sophie Smith, Zoey Whittaker, Jada Withrow and Adalee Roberts ended up third. Harrison’s Ella Davis, Katin Schuh, Harris and Rodden won the 4×800-meter relay.
