Monday soccer results include MHHS varsity teams sweeping Greenbrier

The Mountain Home High School varsity soccer teams were able to sweep a pair of conference matches at Greenbrier on Monday.
The Bomber boys were able to shut out the Panthers 2-0. Jacob Bzdel and Alvaro Salas scored Mountain Home’s goals; Isaiah Kemp, James Douglas and Ivan Vega each dished out an assist; and Odei Alcalde recorded fives saves. The Bombers improve to 14-1-2 on the season and 4-1-2 in the 5A-West.
Mountain Home also took the girls’ match over Greenbrier 2-1. Lily Henson scored the Lady Bombers’ first game and assisted the second goal scored by Sara Jenkins. Mountain Home is now 7-5 on the year.
The evening began with Mountain Home’s junior varsity boys losing to Greenbrier 2-0. Jacob Taylor recorded four saves for the J.V. Bombers.
Mountain Home will return to Bomber Stadium on Friday as they take on Siloam Springs.

Harrison was able to pick up a sweep over Alma. The Lady Goblins shut out the Lady Airedales 4-0. Harrison also blanked Alma 1-0 in the boys’ match.
