
Several area junior high track teams, including Mountain Home, gathered at F.S. Garrison Stadium in Harrison on Tuesday for the Rosson Invitational.
For the Junior Bomber boys, Barrett Miller won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, Garrett Barr won the 400-meter dash and the 1600-meter run, Caiden Kaspar on the 800-meter run, Kaleb Daniel won the pole vault, Nathan Yarborough won the discus and finished fourth in the shot put, Trenton Smith was second in the 1600-meter run, Leo Grubbs ended up third in the high jump and the triple jump, Connor Schulz took third place in the 200-meter dash and fourth in the 100-meter dash, Dayton Davis finished third in the 300-meter hurdles and fifth in the 110-meter hurdles, and Kohler Matthews was fifth in the 800-meter run. The team of Barr, Smith, Kaspar and Gray Daniels won the 4×800-meter relay; Smith Davis, Kaspar and Barr won the 4×400-meter relay; Miller, Taylon Peterson, Caden Del Soto and Schulz won the 4×100-meter relay; and Schulz, Peterson, Davis and Del Soto ended up second in the 4×200-meter relay.
Among other area athletes, Harrison’s Lucas Brumley won the high jump, the long jump, the triple jump, the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles and took third place in the 100-meter dash; Keegan Shaver of Harrison won the shot put; Harrison’s Jacob Massey finished second in the triple jump and the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes; Noah Morris of Harrison was second in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles; Killian Greg of Harrison ended up second in the 400-meter dash; Flippin’s Rene Rascon took third place in the 800-meter run; Wylie Hoppis of Harrison finished third in the discus; and Harrison’s Hunter Frickle was third in the 1600-meter run. Harrison’s team of Massey, Cash Coclasure, Gavin Jones and Mason Isabell won the 4×200-meter relay; Massey, Jones, Coclasure and Eli McNutt of Harrison ended up second in the 4×100-meter relay; Harrison’s Greg, Colton Broom, Jaxon Nolend and Isabell took second place in the 4×400-meter relay; and Frickle, Tanner Smith, Nash Wright and Josiah Gellen of Harrison finished third in the 4×800-meter relay.
For Mountain Home’s girls, Kori Scroggins won the shot put and the discus, Pixie Bolick won the 100-meter hurdles, Camilla Johnson won the 200-meter dash and was second in the 100-meter hurdles, Olivia McCoy won the pole vault and ended up second in the long jump and part of a five-way tie for third in the high jump, Mackenna Medley took second place in the discus and fifth in the shot put, Jamie Chandler finished fourth in the 1600-meter run, and Lorelai Green was fifth in the 1600-meter run. The team of Johnson, McCoy, Green and Medley won the 4×100-meter relay; Bolick, Sienna Reed, Green and Medley ended up second in the 4×200-meter relay; and Chandler, Reed, Johnson and Bolick took third place in the 4×400-meter relay.
Yellville-Summit’s Riley Hopson won the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs and finished second in the 400-meter dash; Kinsley See of Bergman won the high jump; Bergman’s Amelia Halsted was second in the triple jump, third in the 300-meter hurdles and part of the five-way tie for third in the high jump; Jacey Halitzka of Bergman ended up third in the shot put and the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs; Raylee Rodman of Valley Springs took third place in the triple jump; Harrison’s Alyssa Montgomery finished third in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter dashes; and Holly Keeter of Harrison was part of the five-way tie for third in the high jump.
Harrison’s team of Joslynn Saylor, Kodi Harris, Keeter and Montgomery won the 4×400-meter relay. In the 4×100-meter relay, Karlee Ballard, Saylor, Anna Grace and Keeter of Harrison ended up second; and Abree Patton, Mari Wright, Halsted and Keira Keys of Bergman took third place. Harrison’s Ballard, Saylor, Grace and Keeter finished third in the 4×200-meter relay.
