In honor of the 75th Anniversary of Women in the military, the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) and Baxter County are teaming up to photograph women veterans at the Baxter County Veterans Fair on April 29th. The goal is to photograph 75 women veterans, representing the 75 years of women’s service in the U.S. Armed Forces.
The event will take place at the Baxter County Fair Grounds located at 1507 Fairgrounds Drive in Mountain Home, Arkansas from 10 until 2.
The photographs will be featured on ADVA’s social media platforms starting on Women Veterans Day on June 12th. The photos will also be displayed at a special event for women veterans in November, which will be held in Mountain Home.
This event is an opportunity for women veterans to be recognized and celebrated for their service. The ADVA and Baxter County are proud to be a part of this celebration and invite all women veterans to participate in this historic event.
