Monday results include baseball wins for Cotter, Norfork

There was baseball, softball and soccer in the area on Monday.

In high school baseball, Cotter defeated Bakersfield 8-6, Norfork routed Shirley 19-3, and Izard County fell to Cedar Ridge 9-1.

In softball, Viola was edged out by Calico Rock, Izard County lost to Cedar Ridge 3-2, Mountain View topped Greers Ferry West Side 5-1, and Bergman lost a doubleheader to Lincoln 24-0 and 15-0.

The Mountain View High School boys’ soccer team picked up a 6-1 victory over Riverview.
