Several college golfers wrapped up action in the American Midwest Conference Women’s Championship Tuesday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club, and a Mountain Home High School alum came up just short of the medalist honor after the final round. Former Lady Bomber Sydney Czanstkowski of Lyon College in Batesville was part of a four-way tie for third place with Jennah Schell and Maria Rozo of William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri, and Alyssa Hagewood of Central Baptist College in Conway. All four ended up one stroke off the lead with a two-day total of 162.
Sydney Willingham
Columbia College in Missouri was well-represented as they captured the team title, and teammates Sydney Willingham and Emily Strunck were tied for the individual lead after 36 holes with a total of 161. Willingham ended up beating Strunck on the first playoff hole for the medalist honor.
