A lot of questions have been raised about mailers and text messages sent by opponents of the proposed millage increase being sought by the Mountain Home School District. KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News reached out to Graham Sloan, the director of the Arkansas Ethics Commission to get some answers.
Sloan says contrary to what many people thought, the post cards sent to many residents in the school district did not violate any election laws.
When it comes to the mass text messages sent out this past weekend, Sloan says those should have had a message saying who paid for it.
The Ethics Commission director says there are different ways the commission handles violators of election laws.
