For those who have thought about learning to fly, the Baxter County Airport will be hosting a “Flying Start” information program Saturday morning at 10 at the Terminal Building of the Baxter County Airport.
The program will include a video program, a flight simulator demonstration, airplanes on display and a question and answer session from local pilots. Following the presentation, burgers, chips and ice cream will be served.
The Flying Start program introduces interested individuals to the endless opportunities which result in earning a pilot’s certificate. The event will cover the steps and requirements in learning to fly, provide tips on how to make it economical, and will culminate in a free introductory flight.
For more information or to register, contact Mark Molle at 815-378-1680 or call the Baxter County Airport at 870-481-5418. Participants may also register online by visiting flyingstart.org.
