Tuesday baseball results include Dora winning in district semifinals

A few area high school baseball teams were in district play on Tuesday.

Dora was able to win its semifinal game in the Class 1, District 4 Tournament at Norwood. The Falcons doubled up Koshkonong 2-1. Dora improves to 7-12 on the season.

Two area teams needed 14 innings when they faced off in the opening round of the Class 5, District 6 Tournament at Branson. West Plains was edged out by the host Pirates 4-3. The Zizzers’ season ends at 16-13. Branson is now 14-18.

Hollister was eliminated from the semifinals of the Class 4, District 10 Tournament at Logan-Rogersville High School. The Tigers fell to the host and top-seeded Wildcats 10-4. Hollister’s final record for the year is 17-9.

Forsyth was victorious in the semifinals of the Class 3, District 10 Tournament at Strafford. The Panthers squeaked by the host Indians 6-5. Forsyth improves to 19-7 on the year.
