Illinois man injured in 1-vehicle accident in Ozark County

An Illinois man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident Saturday evening in Ozark County. Fifty-seven-year-old Jeffry Braeutigam of Collinsville was transported by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Braeutigam was traveling on County Road 607. He was nearly two miles north of Pontiac when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, went down an embankment and struck several trees. Braeutigam was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.

Braeutigam’s vehicle had extensive damage in the 8:15 p.m. accident.
