AAA releases All-State teams for spring sports

The Arkansas Activities Association released its All-State teams for spring sports, and several area athletes are on the list.

Mountain Home is represented by two baseball players. Reece Ducker and Masen Walker were selected for Class 5A.

Elsewhere, Cotter’s Ty Tilton was picked for Class 2A. The Class 1A team includes Braden Williams of Viola, Riley Whiteaker of Calico Rock, Jayce Williams of Lead Hill, Wyatt Barnes of Omaha and Caden Hatfield and Hudson Lewis of Jasper. The team for Class 3A includes Matt Guffey of Salem and Melbourne’s Grant and Trey Wren.

Two of Mountain Home’s softball players are among three All-State selections from the area in Class 5A. Katie Camp and Emma Crabb are joined on the team by Ryleigh Keele of Harrison.

The Class 2A softball team includes Cotter’s Emma Jones and Marshall’s Audrey Blair. The Class 1A selections include Hayley Crotts of Viola, Lyrick Stapleton of Calico Rock, Lauren Skaggs and Brynn Washam of Mammoth Spring, Taylor Evans of Omaha and Caycie Hatfield and Kaylee Reynolds of Jasper. The Class 3A team includes Salem’s Callie Hall, Melbourne’s Abbie Lawrence and Valley Springs’ Aidan Gorton.

Eight area soccer players were named All-State in Class 5A. The boys’ team includes William Bevel and James Douglas of Mountain Home and Grayson Dupre and Will Mahoney of Harrison. The girls’ squad includes Mountain Home’s Lily Henson and Harrison’s Clare Barger, Mia Barnett and Sydney Hobson.

Two soccer players from Mountain View also received All-State honors. Camryn Vickers and Joshua Corners are representing the Yellowjackets on the boys’ team.
