Two residents suffer injuries in Friday morning house fire

An fire early Friday morning cause substantial damage to a residence off Buzzard Roost Cutoff, injuring two.

According to the incident report, the Mountain Home Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at approximately 1:58 in the morning. Fourteen firefighters battled the blaze located at 195 Buzzard Roost Cutoff for approximately two hours. Authorities report the fire started in the living room of the home. The structure sustained 25% fire damage, 100% smoke damage and 25% water damage.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Two individuals, Roy and Valerie O’neal, suffered injuries and were transported to Baxter Health for treatment. The extent of their injuries were not reported.
