Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Marion County man for allegedly taking a motor vehicle without permission.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a friend over at their residence and asked to use their vehicle to get groceries and stated they would return it shortly. The victim’s son told the suspect, 26-year-old Jason White, he would need to ask his mom if he could drive her car.

When the victim asked her son where the car was, he stated he thought White asked her to use it. She stated she never gave anyone permission to use the car and would not know White if he walked up to her.

A warrant for White’ arrest has been issued for a felony count of theft of a motor vehicle with bond set at $10,000.
