MacLeod opens season by sweeping Sloan-Hendrix

The Mountain Home MacLeod American Legion baseball team began its season on a winning note. MacLeod went to Imboden Tuesday and picked up a sweep over Sloan-Hendrix.

Mountain Home took the opener over Sloan-Hendrix 8-3. Jackson Corp led the MacLeod offense by going 1-for-2 with a grand slam, and Nate Henderson was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Maddox Carney was credited with the win as he pitched five innings, struck out six batters and gave up two earned runs.

Mountain Home dominated the late game 13-3 over Sloan-Hendrix. MacLeod was led by Wade Miller and Cory Jines as they each went 3-for-3 with an RBI. Henderson was the winning pitcher with five innings, six strikeouts and three earned runs.

MacLeod begins the season at 2-0, and they’ll host Sloan-Hendrix Thursday at Cooper Park.
