
The Mountain Home Alley-White American Legion baseball team ended up splitting a pair of games with North Central Arkansas Friday at Brockwell.
Alley-White suffered a 6-4 defeat in the first game. Coty Foster was the losing pitcher with five innings, three strikeouts and five hits. Bryce Ott led the Mountain Home offense by going 2-for-3 and scoring a run.
Alley-White fared better in the late game as they beat North Central Arkansas 8-6 in extra innings. Ott picked up the win in relief with 2 2/3 innings and four strikeouts. Mountain Home was led by Maddex Chism going 2-for-4 with an RBI triple and two runs scored, and Erik Foster and Cole Tilton were also 2-for-4 at the plate.
Alley-White is now 3-5 on the season.
