A Gassville woman has succumbed to her injuries from a one-vehicle accident last weekend in northern Baxter County. Sixty-two-year-old Katherine Montroy was pronounced dead at Baxter Health.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Katherine Montroy was the driver of a vehicle traveling on Arkansas Highway 5 between Midway and Three Brothers on June 11, and 79-year-old John Montroy was her passenger. The vehicle reportedly crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a warning sign and a tree.
John Montroy was also injured in the 3:18 p.m. accident and was transported to Baxter Health.
