The Mountain Home City Council will meet in regular session Thursday night at 6 in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building. This meeting was rescheduled from last Thursday due to the Arkansas Municipal League meetings in Little Rock.
Items on the agenda include a resolution to abandon a utility easement in Big Creek Estates; an amendment to an ordinance to allow a-frame or sandwich board type signs by merchants in the square; approval for the parks department to purchase a truck from the street departments; approval to move funds from the general fund project carryover to the capital equipment to purchase truck; request from the parks department to combine the parks and youth center budget and line items beginning in 2024; approval to change water and sewer meter department’s checking account to a non-interest bearing account; acknowledgment and acceptance of the 2022 water and sewer audit; a resolution for the city to express the willingness to utilize the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism outdoor recreation matching grant funds; and discussion of the Baxter Recycling Center.
