
The Mountain Home City Council will hold its regular scheduled meeting Thursday night at 6 in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building.
Items on the agenda include an ordinance to rezone a property zoned as residential R-2 and commercial C-3 to residential R-4 at the end of Parkway Drive; an ordinance to rezone a property from residential R-1 to commercial C-4 located at 1314 Rossi Road; an ordinance to waive competitive bidding and the authorization to purchase six Ford police vehicles; and ordinance to waive competitive bidding and authorizing the purchase of equipment on six new vehicles for the police department; request to move $100,000 from the projected carryover line item to recycling to help support the Baxter Day Service Center; an ordinance to allow the display a-frame signs in the downtown entertainment district; a discussion to send a letter to the Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality to request a certificate of closure for the NABORS landfill; and a discussion with the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce about an economic development partnership.
A public hearing is scheduled for July 20 at 5:55 prior to the City Council meeting to discuss the abandonment of a utility easement in Big Creek.
