Friday’s storms have knocked out power to several area residents, and in Marion County, they led to road and tree damage and an effect to the water supply.

According to officials, storms knocked out power to the Marion County Regional Water District’s treatment plant, and its generator is out of commission. A spokesperson in the Flippin Water Department is asking city residents to conserve water. The splash pad at Yellville City Park had been closed, but Parks Director Lyn Baker says it is back open.

The storms also caused damage to roads and trees in Marion County. Judge Jason Stumph says Marion County road crews and emergency services are on the scene working through the affected areas.

Several area residents remain without power from the storms. As of 11:50 Saturday morning, Entergy Arkansas was reporting outages to 37 customers in Marion County, 39 in Searcy County, one in Stone County and 138 in Boone County.
