A Baxter County Sheriff’s Office deputy escaped injury Friday night when responding to a down tree after thunderstorms moved through the area.
According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, Sergeant Jamie Binnion was responding to a tree down blocking Promise Land Road after severe storms moved through the area when the truck he was driving was hit by a large falling tree.
While Binnion was turning around, a large tree fell across the truck and severely damaged it.
Binnion was not injured in the incident.
