A woman suspected in the kidnapping of an area teen in March is in custody in Douglas County. Thirty-eight-year-old Jasmine Terrill-Fleetwood is being held without bond.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, information was received regarding 13-year-old Hailey Terrill going to feed the family cats and never coming back inside. Several agencies took part in the investigation and search for the juvenile, and an endangered person advisory was put out by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

On March 13th, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding the child being at a Taney County business. Agencies arrived on scene and located the child, and she stated she had been with her non-custodial mother, identified as Fleetwood-Terrill, who had dropped her off at the business.

Fleetwood-Terrill was transported to the Douglas County Jail from the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center on June 28. The report did not indicate when she went into the custody of the correctional center.

Fleetwood-Terrill has been indicted by a Douglas County grand jury on felony counts of first-degree kidnapping and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk.
