Baxter Co. Board of Equalization meeting now through Oct. 1

The Baxter County Board of Equalization will be in session now through Oct. 1.

According to Baxter County Circuit Clerk Canda Reese, state mandate says the deadline for scheduling appointments to meet with the EQ Board is August 21 at 4:30. If residents wish to appeal assessed property values, contact the Baxter County Clerk’s Office at 425-3475 prior to the August 21 deadline to schedule a hearing before the Equalization Board.

Please note that the Equalization Board does not deal with property taxes, but only has authority to address appraised and assessed property values.
