MH boys finish 3rd, girls end up 8th in Ultimate Auto Group High School Invitational

The Ultimate Auto Group High School Invitational wrapped up its two-day run Tuesday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.

Mountain Home’s blue squad finished third in the boys’ team standings with a total of 669. Rogers won the tournament at 630, and Russellville was the runner-up at 12 strokes back. Harrison was sixth at 738, Mountain Home’s gold team ended up 10th at 762, Flippin took 11th place at 797, and Bergman finished 14th at 894.

Russellville’s Noah Abington was the individual medalist with a two-day total of 147.

Ian Ellison was Mountain Home’s top golfer as he was 10th with a 164. Also for the Bombers, Cody Cormican and Chace Berwald ended up part of a three-way tie for 13th place with a 168, Jack Coleman took 16th place with a 169, Saylon Elmore and Jackson Corp finished tied for 23rd with a 183, Jake Brashears was part of a three-way tie for 31st place with a 190, Ayden Havens ended up tied for 36th with a 193, and Teegan Booy was part of a three-way tie for 47th place with a 203.

For Flippin, Tucker Thompson took 35th place with a 192, Hudson Lindsey finished 41st with a 198, Payton Moore was 50th with a 204, Cody Downs ended up part of a three-way tie for 52nd place with a 206, and Truett Lindsey took 56th place with a 214.

In addition, Bergman was led by Kaden Ponder in 19th place with a 176, and Isaac Freeman led Harrison as he finished 21st with a 180.

On the girls’ side, Mountain Home was eighth in the team standings at 589. Mount St. Mary ran away with the tournament title at 507. Harrison ended up fourth at 666.

Chloe Freville of Mount St. Mary took home the medalist honor with a 164.

Abby Edens led Mountain Home as she finished seventh with a 195, and Jordan Massie was 25th with a 265.

Harrison was led by Jacklyn Tapley as she ended up 15th with a 219.
