Vive18, a national drug prevention platform, was presented to an audience of over 500 students Friday at Dunbar Auditorium on the campus of Mountain Home High School Career Academies. Local public schools that took part in the program include Mountain Home, Flippin and Yellville-Summit.

According to its website, Vive18’s mission is “to save lives and challenge culture. Young people shouldn’t feel left out for making healthy choices. By helping youth make educated decisions about drugs, we challenge all students to rewrite social norms around drug use while protecting their friends and their future.”

The presentations are reportedly designed to be engaging for young people and to encourage them to make positive choices. Founder Jake White and Tomas Brazza recently where guests of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and they say it is important to teach students that drugs are never the answer.
