Heat affecting residential cooling systems

The Twin Lakes Area has been experiencing temperatures near 100 degrees and heat index values well into the triple digits. The heat and humidity can have an affect on residential cooling systems.

Matt Martin of Central Heating and Cooling says his company have been dealing with emergency calls of residents whose systems have given out.

North central Arkansas remains under an excessive heat warning through 8 Tuesday night and will be under another one Wednesday from noon to 8. Southern Missouri’s excessive heat warning continues through 10 Thursday night.
