Tuesday volleyball results include MHHS losing season opener at Cabot

The Mountain Home High School volleyball team began its season on a rough note. The Lady Bombers fell in straight sets as Cabot posted scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-20.
Carson Schmitz led Mountain Home with 17 kills, 11 digs and three blocks; Anna McCarn had four kills and five blocks; Addison Martz recorded 17 digs; Ali Czanstkowski finished with 16 digs; and Lauren Rauls added 10 digs.
The Lady Bombers start the year at 0-1.
Cabot also beat Mountain Home in straight sets in the junior varsity match with scores of 25-14 and 25-12. Aspen Vostatek ended up with four kills for the J.V. Lady Bombers, Kori Scroggins had six digs, Libby Dewey recorded four digs, and Deanna Human had three blocks.

Elsewhere, Yellville-Summit’s first road trip of the season was a successful one. The Lady Panthers defeated Alpena in straight sets.

Marshall’s season opener ended with a loss at home to Valley Springs in four sets. The Lady Tigers beat the Lady Bobcats by scores of 25-16, 25-21, 18-25 and 25-18.

Harrison suffered its first loss of the season in four sets. Farmington beat the Lady Goblins with scores of 25-17, 25-22, 22-25 and 25-17.
