
In the past few weeks, the Twin Lakes Area has seen a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases.
Baxter Health Infection Prevention Coordinator Stephanie Free, MSN, RN CIC, spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News and states although they have seen an increase of cases, the spike has not been as high as it has been in the past.

Free states the symptoms have stayed consistent over the past few years. Most cases start with a headache, sore throat, runny nose and cough. She states although some patients have presented GI symptoms, most has been respiratory.
Free says current booster vaccines will help with some immunity, but an additional booster may be released this fall.
