Patients in Arkansas spent nearly $23.2 million in July to purchase 5,157 pounds of medical marijuana.
A monthly breakdown of sales, provided by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, shows Plant Family Therapeutics of Mountain Home having sold 151.07 pounds in July, while eight dispensaries sold more than 200 pounds.
The Arkansas Department of Health reports 93,524 active patient cards.
Scott Hardin, spokesperson for the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration states “If sales remain consistent for the next several months, we will complete 2023 with total sales reaching more than $280 million. The state collected $2.5 million in tax revenue from medical marijuana in July. This brings total medical marijuana tax revenue in 2023 to $18.5 million, and $108 million since the first dispensary opened in May 2019.”
Suite 443 (Hot Springs) sold the largest amount at 551 pounds. Natural Relief Dispensary (Sherwood) followed with 462 pounds.
