A few high school golf teams gathered in Melbourne on Monday for an outing at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course.
Salem won the event on the girls’ side with a team total of 284, one stroke ahead of Little Rock Christian. Melbourne finished fourth at 300.
Salem’s top golfer was Katie Fish with a 92, and Annie Rush had a 90 for Melbourne. The individual medalist was Ada Peeples of Little Rock Christian with an 83.
Christian was the victor on the boys’ side with a team total of 234. Melbourne was three strokes off the lead to end up second, Flippin was fifth at 256, and Salem took sixth place at 274.
Melbourne’s Carter Manry was the medalist with a 73. Flippin was led by Cody Downs with an 83, and Salem had an 89 from Kyler Willett.
