Late Wednesday morning, the Mountain Home Fire Department responded to a house fire, which caused smoke damage to a residence along Su Lane.
According to the incident report, firefighters responded to the fire at approximately 11:39 in the morning. Eight firefighters with seven on standby, battled the blaze located at 38 Su Lane. Authorities report the fire started in the kitchen and laundry room area of the home and sustained 25% fire damage, 100% smoke damage and 25% water damage.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported.
