The Arkansas Department of Transportation announced Thursday afternoon the Harkle Road Creek Bridge along Arkansas Highway 9 in Fulton County has not been open to one lane of traffic, following a full closure to assess concerns after a bridge inspection.

Officials state a portable traffic signal has been installed on each end of the bridge to allow one lane of travel across the bridge.

Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
Contractors estimate repair work to last approximately eight weeks, at which point the bridge is expected to fully reopen to two lanes of traffic.
