On Friday, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders called for a special session to be held Monday with an agenda that included discussion of the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), security measures, tax cuts and COVID rules for state officials.Over the weekend, there was a groundswell of push back on the bill from both sides of the aisle. KTLO’s Heather Loftis spoke with District 23 State Senator Scott Flippo about the final version of the bill.

Flippo stated the security information applies to other constitutional officers. The retroactive portion of the bill applies to only the Governor and her family.
The house version is expected to pass Thursday.
