The Mountain Home High School football team’s trip to Little Rock on Friday ended on a rough note. The Bombers suffered a 35-14 loss at the hands of Pulaski Academy.
After the Bruins struck first on the opening possession of the game, Mountain Home later answered when Jett Hannaford went over two defenders for a 25-yard touchdown catch. P.A. finished the first half on a 20-0 run and went into the locker room up three touchdowns. Both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter. The Bombers scored nearly halfway through the final period on a short touchdown run by Chris Hubbard. The Bruins responded with one more score, and Mountain Home would get no closer.
The Bombers fall to 3-3 on the season and 1-3 in the 6A-West. P.A. improves to 4-1 and 2-1.
Cade Yates completed 23 passes out of 42 attempts for 228 yards and a touchdown, Hannaford caught seven passes for 79 yards and a score, and Carter Atkins had seven catches for 80 yards.
Mountain Home will host Little Rock Christian for homecoming next week.
