Morgan to get Bob Knight Bomber Spirit Award at MH Education Foundation Night of Honors

A local attorney will be among the Class of 2023 for the Mountain Home Education Foundation Hall of Honor this week. Roger Morgan will be enshrined with the Bob Knight Bomber Spirit Award during Thursday’s Night of Honors.

Morgan graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1978, and he says he feels like he had the best education experience anyone could ever have.

Morgan has been a practicing lawyer for over 37 years. In addition to his private practice, he has served as Mountain Home’s city attorney since 1987, and he has been in the same position for Cotter, Lakeview, Bull Shoals, Flippin and other smaller towns throughout north central Arkansas. Morgan has also worked as a general counsel for Mountain Home Public Schools, North Arkansas Electric Cooperative and a local bank.

Morgan says when he entered college, his major was accounting, but the law is something that has always interested him.

Morgan has also been active in the community. He has previously served as the president of the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce and secretary/treasurer of the Mountain Home Rotary Club, and he has been involved in youth baseball and softball. Morgan says he is proud to be involved in what he describes as a caring, giving community.

The Mountain Home Education Foundation’s Night of Honors is scheduled for Thursday evening at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.
