Homecoming night ended on a rough note for the Mountain Home High School football team. The Bombers ended up suffering a 51-0 loss at the hands of Little Rock Christian.
Mountain Home struggled throughout the night, and the Warriors proved why they are ranked third in Class 6A and ninth in the state overall by the Arkansas Sports Media. Christian dominated the first half, forcing the mercy rule to go into effect when the teams came out of the halftime locker room. The Warriors had one score in the second half as both teams played some of their subs.
Jett Hannaford had five catches for 71 yards for the Bombers, Cade Yates was 9 of 23 through the air for 61 yards, and Brantlee Phillips was 4 of 6 for 47 yards. For Christian, Walker White completed 17 passes out of 25 attempts for 293 yards and three touchdowns and added 57 yards on the ground, and Tate Collins had seven catches for 138 yards and two scores.
Mountain Home falls to 3-4 on the season and 1-4 in the 6A-West. The Warriors improve to 5-1 and 4-0.
