The Arkansas Department of Health is offering free flu vaccinations in preparation for the flu season.
Flu shots are available at all local health units, with no appointment necessary.
Those interested in receiving the vaccine are encouraged to bring insurance information, but there is no out-of-pocket cost.
In Mountain Home, the Baxter County Health Unit located at 206 Bucher Drive offers flu shots Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8 and 4:30, and on Tuesdays between 9:30 and 6.
