
Several area high school tennis athletes will begin state tournament play on Monday.
The Rebsamen Tennis Center in Little Rock will be the site of the Class 5A State Tournament hosted by Pulaski Academy. Mountain Home will be represented in both boys’ brackets as Landon Horne meets Ethan Tan of Maumelle in singles play, and Pierce Blackmon and Finley Chafin will face Brady Pulliam and Colin Norman of Maumelle in doubles action. The Lady Bombers will have two pairs in the girls’ doubles bracket as Kelsey Blackwell and Bella Dotson take on Danna Homsi and Jaymie Angtuaco of the host Lady Bruins, and Nadia and Bianca Talbot play Avea and Bella Sanders of Little Rock Christian. In the girls’ singles bracket, Harrison’s Emme Bell will be paired with Diya Dadlani of White Hall.
The Class 2A State Tournament will be hosted by Riverside at Allen Park in Jonesboro, and Viola will be represented in both singles brackets. Kevin Sanders meets Brayeson Timms of the host Rebels on the boys’ side, and Meredith Deane faces Jesslyn Hoggard of Ridgefield Christian in girls’ action.
Bergman is the designated host of the Class 3A State Tournament at the Conway Tennis Center. On the boys’ side, Mountain View’s Adhi Ananadaraj faces Maumelle Charter’s Dylan Ferguson in singles play, and Zion Fultz and Cody Sain of the host Panthers take on Cole Gates and Bronx Holland of Tuckerman in the doubles bracket. Also for Bergman, Ruby Trammell and Kiersten Lowry will play in the girls’ doubles bracket against Kate McNeal and Ruby Lewis of Harding Academy.
